i woke to the smell of old cigarettes and alcohol. the fan spun with a constant beat, a reminder of just how dull the day promised to be.
just another one of those days in downtown brack. can't even walk down the street without getting caught in a brawl. somewhere along the line you have to answer for what you've done. might be at the hands of the cops. maybe some kid whose brother you iced comes at you for revenge. doesn't matter-this place usually wants you dead.
i ain't saying there's no good folk here. but they're rare. even at the tables, in the casinos, everyone's wearing a poker face. well-that's what they're there for, i guess. to live in the moment. to hide from the shadows behind you.
don't dwell on the past. they're just days that are dead and gone.
expect crime, death, deception, gambling, and things less pleasant. not reccomended for those who have issues with selfish lifestyles.

ADMINS ,
Paddy, AKA Pademelon, the awesome admin. She enjoys procrastinating, sleeping, and long walks on the beach. She makes the site look pretty!
MODERATORS ,
Ciel, the awesomest mod ever, who is also a grammar and spelling nazi. She will mercilessly nitpick your profiles until she thinks they are pretty.
Garden, the awesomest MODERATOR who sucks at talking about herself when requested to but loves to talk about everything else. Mostly just stares at the profile board waiting for new profiles and gorges herself out on Avalon Code.
Kitty, the most neat-o, peachy-keen mod that ever walked on two legs. She's super helpful and friendly, so feel free to PM questions to her. Likes reading new profiles and collection icons. Tends to bite people

summer, 1946
the days are long and the nights humid. the sticky air mixes with the end of day steam to obscure sight and senses. the nightlife is thriving, yet the days are exhausting; the lack of rain keeping everyone dried out and on edge.

Deserted Land has now joined the league of Paddy's test sites.
Sable Lake (2 sub-boards) The Sable Lake is the largest in Angarnia. If you stand on one side of the lake, it is impossible to see the other side, even on a clear day. The water itself is fairly clean, although many are wary of drinking it as it is a deep blue in colour. The dark waters make it impossible to see how deep the water is, or what lurks on the lakebed.
Obsidian Castle (2 sub-boards) The Obsidian Castle is named after the pitch black stone the entire building is built from. The castle has been the center of the northern lands of Angarnia for more than five hundred years. Inside it's walls lies a polished life of a royal court-no-one worries about anything, so long as it doesn't affect their personal life. Class is of great importance here. Often the peasants and servants are ignored as the nobility go around with their charades of self-importance.
Mythril Tower (2 sub-boards) The Mythril Tower lies to the east of Sable Lake, and is completely inhabited by djinn and magicians. It is because of this that the tower never has one fixed form-it appears different to everyone. Only one thing about the tower is constant, and that is it's shining mythril gates.
City of Stars (2 sub-boards) The City of Stars is the largest in Angarnia, the last city left standing after the fall of the Golden Age. The City itself is built on a circular design, with a large tower standing at the centre. The tower is the home to the Watcher of the Stars, or simply The Watcher. The Watcher's assistants, the Knights of the Stars, patrol the city for signs of unrest.

Celestial Forest (1 sub-board) The Celestial Forest is the oldest in Angarnia. It is now a mere quater of it's original size, the tall white trees slowly dying out. Even the Elves who called the forest their home have died out, although it is siad that their city is still somewhere beneath the trees. No one knows the exact location of the elven city, although it is thought that it lies somewhere near the strange temple which lies to the easternmost side of the forest.

Starlight Massif (2 sub-boards) The three mountains that make up this small massif are among the largest in Angarnia. Their snow-capped peaks pierce the skies and reach into the heavens themselves. There is but one pass through the massif, and that it the pass that leads between Icepeak, the tallest of the three, and Broken Mountain, the smallest. The grey town of Stoneguard watches over the single pass. None can go through the mountains without first going through Stoneguard.

Territory of the Elements
Mount Sunstrike (1 sub-board) Mount Sunstrike is more than a mountain. It's a volcano, the only active volcano left in Angarnia. It is said that this is the home of the Fire Elementals, and it is their presence which keeps the volcano active.

River Asureli (1 sub-board) The River Asureli is the largest of Angarnia. Almost a kilometre wide, the river weaves it's way through the whole land supplying water to all. The Water Elementals look after the great river, and make sure it remains healthy and well looked after, for their mighty river is the lifeblood of all of Angarnia.

Desert Mistral (2 sub-boards) This sand desert is like a permentant sandstorm. The arid sand dunes are said to be inhabbited by both the Earth and Air elementals, and that they are both constantly fighting for power. Few have ever managed to cross these barren sands, for the water is well hidden by the creatures of the desert.

Realm of Dawn
Sunhigh Forest (1 sub-board) Sunhigh Forest is the second largest forest in Angarnia. The tall trees are evergreens, forever in a state of summer green. Many creatures live under the green canopy, including the dragoons, the protectors of the Realm of Dawn.
Dawn Mesa (2 sub-boards) At the end of Sunhigh Forest is a barren plain of black stone, and on that plain is a sudden plateu that is called by most the Dawn Mesa. From behind this mesa the sun rises every morning, rising like a phoenix from the Chasm of Darkness to light up the world of Angarnia.
Marketplace (1 sub-board) The Marketplace is the home of many different shops all filled with items for you to buy with your gold, from custom titles to skins and even a 'house' for your character!
